Three Good Things

Yesterday two good things happened (three if you count the Green's historic victories in the EU elections, especially in Bristol.  I'm so proud of you.) I recognised someone in the street, someone I've only come to know since arriving back in Edinburgh.  For three weeks I've wandered round the city not recognising anyone (with the obvious exception of people I've arranged to meet ie my sister, my daughter etc).  Coming from Bristol where, after 28 years, popping down to the high street on a Saturday morning could take hours on account of all the friends I'd bump into while I was there, this is a very strange and, quite frankly, unsettling experience.  But the spell has now been broken. We stumbled upon one of Edinburgh's answers to Bristol's Zero Green and the Southville Deli - The Refillery !  The manager was sweeping up when we popped our heads round the door, but she invited us in to have a look and we discussed the small independent shop scene ...
